E3 2010: Dead or Alive bouncing provocatively onto the 3DS
In your face
Having already seen the mighty Street Fighter IV receive confirmation of a Nintendo 3DS version, it isn't too surprising to see another long-running fighting series find its way across to the new 3D console.
Dead or Alive first appeared back on the Sega Saturn in 1997 and has been receiving ‘augmentations’ to its fighting roster, gameplay and graphics since then, with the latest of the fighting series, Dead or Alive 4, appearing on the Xbox 360 in 2006.
We want to point out that the analogue joystick and 3D screen could offer some interesting controls and in-your-face scene changes as you smack fighters off of tall buildings, but we get the feeling that the female fighters' jutting three dimensional assets will be a draw for a certain selection of the crowd.
If you’re unsure as to what that thinly-disguised euphemism means, do check out the trailer for the beach volleyball/voyeur spin-off DOA: Paradise for the PSP.
