Can call us committed (or obsessive compulsive), but having just spent a hour or so looking through the speakers' biographies from the recent Game Developers Conference, we've found out that God of War guru David Jaffe is working on a brand new PSP game.

"David is the creative director at Sony Santa Monica Studios, overseeing the creative direction for a number of PSP and PS3 projects, while also directing an unannounced game for the PSP," his entry reads.

So, the next question is what possibly could that game be?

Clearly it's not the PSP version of God of War, as that's being developed externally by Daxter studio Ready At Dawn. The other big game series Jaffe's known for is vehicle-combat title Twisted Metal but there's already been a PSP version of that.

In the past he worked on Mickey Mania, and 3 Ninjas Kick Back, which was based on a cheesy kids' film. But considering the hardcore destruction and black humour that characterises Jaffe's games, we'd say remakes of those two are remote in the extreme – although we'd like to see the results nevertheless!

Hover bike game Jet Moto features on the Jaffe's credit list, too. It could make an interesting addition to the Wipeout genre of racers, but it seems a bit unlikely.

Which leaves us with the most exciting option: a brand new original title for PSP – one that will involve either shooting things, crashing into things or dicing them up with sharp blades, as well as looking brilliant, and probably selling loads of copies in the process.

That's what we think. Feel free to 'Join the discussion' below and let us know what you hope the next David Jaffe game will be about. Especially if you're David Jaffe.
