Earlier in the week, we cast our eye over the third game in Nintendo's retro Art Style series of downloadable games for DSiWare and lo, now Art Style: PiCOPiCT is available on your DSi.

It's a falling block-based game, where you move large blocks - called megabits - as they fall down the screen, combining them with square blocks - bits - of the same colour.

You can also pick up the bits and place them any way you want to on the touchscreen. And by clearing the bits you'll eventually reveal each stage's hidden character, which are from the era of NES gaming.

Alongside this, Gameloft's Pop Superstar: Road To Celebrity - a title that first came to our attention as an enjoyable mobile game - has been released.

This game, where your aim is to become an all-singing, all-dancing pop sensation, features musical challenges like dance battles and playing guitar, as well as more Sims-like objectives such as developing friendships or scaring rivals, and the maintenance of health and hygiene.

And yes, you do have to guide your ingénue to the toilet and suchlike. Also included is a multiplayer mode for up to four players.

Both Art Style: PiCOPiCT (500 Nintendo Points, £4.50, €5) and Pop Superstar: Road To Celebrity (800 Nintendo Points, £7.20, €8) are out now in the European DSi Shop.
