The Legend of Zelda - yes, the original NES game - will be heading to the European 3DS eShop this Thursday, along with Crystal Caverns of Amon-Ra and smartphone favourite I Must Run!

The Legend of Zelda's plot should sound familiar to those of you that have dabbled in later entries: you, as a young hero named Link, must recover the eight fragments of the Triforce and save Princess Zelda from the evil Ganon.

While it may be in 2D and look a little, well, lacking in the colours department (good for an 8-bit system, though), a lot of the aspects that Zelda fans will know and love are present in this original, like the mixture of exploration and puzzle-filled dungeons.

The Legend of Zelda will be available for £4.50 / €5.

So I ran. I ran so far away

Also out in the eShop and DSi Shop this week is Crystal Caverns of Amon-Ra, a Puzzloop / Zuma-style game with ten worlds, 14 power-ups, and a whole lot of Egyptian styling. It'll also be available for £4.50 / €5.

Finally, Gamelion's Android and iOS endless-runner I Must Run! is dashing onto both the eShop and DSi Shop for £1.80 / €2.

I Must Run! adds extra considerations to the standard 'jump over things as the screen gets faster' game mechanic of this particular genre, including having to slide under obstacles.

It also has an ending, so technically isn't really endless, after all.
