With a catalog that includes the Cars DS games for THQ, not to mention Top Gear: Downforce, Australian studio Tantalus could be said to be something of a racing expert on Nintendo's dual screen machine.
It's going to be testing more than its technical skills with the release of Drift Street International, the arcade racer it's publishing via the download-only DSiWare channel however
As the name suggests, the game is a street racer that has you making your way around the streets of American, UK and Japanese cities in high-intensity midnight races.
The key gameplay element has you tapping the B button to start your slide and then controlling it with the D-pad. As well as giving you cool handling, this also fills your nitrous boost meter.
Modes include career, as well as checkpoint races and speed trials where you have to keep the speedo close to the max or risk getting eliminated. Four player head-to-head wireless races are also supported.
Costing 800 Nintendo Points, Drift Street International will be available for download in North America on March 22th, with Europe and Australasia to follow.
