It’s a tricky sport, golf. If you’re new to it you can expect to spend hours on the driving range and putting on your living room carpet before you reach a stage where you can feel confident enough to play a full 18 holes.

Thankfully, the games developer Teyon has saved us all from hours of torment by announcing 101 MiniGolf World for DSiWare.

Developed exclusively for the Nintendo DSi, it features - rather oddly - more than 101 holes. The six different islands in the game each constitute a separate golf course of 18 holes and feature all manner of obstacles such as loops, pipes, ramps, arches and more.

A release date has yet to have been announced so there’s still plenty of time to dust off those clubs, break out the tartan trousers, and get a few practice shots in.
