Square Enix teases a possible sequel to The World Ends With You

Square Enix has launched a countdown website that may point to a sequel to The World Ends With You.

Square Enix teased fans of the Pocket Gamer Gold Award-winning DS RPG with a possible sequel to The World Ends With You back in April, when Tetsuya Nomura said the team was looking at '…the future of The World Ends With You franchise.'

If this latest tease is to be believed, that future may not be so far off.

Square Enix’s website promises a new title featuring character designs from Tetsuya Nomura and Gen Kobayashi, both of whom contributed artwork to The World Ends With You.

To add more fuel to the rumour mill, the URL for the teaser website contains the word 'Subaseka'. In Japanese, The World Ends With You is known as Subarashiki Kono Sekai.

All of this evidence seems to point at a sequel to The World Ends With You.

We should know more about this mysterious project when the teaser website launches next week.
