New Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass footage surfaces

There isn't much we wouldn't give to be able to understand Japanese right now

New Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass footage surfaces

Posting links to videos that are in a language the bulk of our readers can't understand isn't something we're about to get into the habit of doing.

However, when it comes to fresh footage of what is arguably the most anticipated DS title since New Super Mario Bros, linguistic concerns are quickly cast aside.

This latest Japanese trailer of The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass is particularly exciting because it illustrates exactly how the stylus works with regards to controlling Link.

And from the footage, it seems like it's been wonderfully integrated.

In addition, the video also does justice to what are easily some of the most crisp and polished 3D visuals the DS has seen so far (take particular note of the sailing sections, for instance).

We are more than a little envious of our Japanese gaming contemporaries who will be getting to grips with Link's latest adventure this Saturday. Our fingers are crossed in the hope the game won't be delayed here in Europe, which is currently still set for a Christmas release.
