E3 2008: Konami confirms release date for Rock Revolution DS

Konami has confirmed its DS rhythm game Rock Revolution - which you could say is the publisher's own take on Guitar Hero - will be released in Europe at the beginning of 2009.

The game is coming out on DS as well as Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii. The DS version will come with 20 rock tracks and a range of customisable music venues to play with unlockable laser shows and fireworks to really impress the baying crowd.

Players will be able to choose the instrument they fancy playing then use stylus gestures to match on-screen instructions in order to play through tracks. Likewise, the stylus is used to pull off on-stage moves.

Konami being the daddy of rhythm games, this could be one to watch. Click 'Track It!' to stay up to date.
