Just recently Ubisoft announced four new games were coming to its Imagine range, all based around 'girl activities' such as writing diaries and fashion. Because that's all girls do, obviously.

So the publisher must be thrilled by Oxygen's announcement that it's decided to get into the young and teenage market too, with a range called MyGames.

Oxygen has also revealed the first three games that will get the ball rolling: My MakeUp, My Dress-Up and My Secret Diary. All of which sound like they'll be in direct competition with Ubisoft's My Secret World by Imagine and Imagine Fashion Model. Just how many diaries does a girl need?

Moving on from the ranges' obvious similarities to each other, MyGames will no doubt prove a hit with its target demographic. My MakeUp gives players their own make-up box then lets them loose to pamper and face paint themselves and their friends. My Dress-Up, meanwhile, is pretty much more of the same albeit with clothes.

As for My Secret Diary, it provides a journal, a place to store secrets, various mini-games and an option to send secret messages and event invitations to friends.

All of the games promise to feature some sort of social play and all will be compatible with an exclusive 'MyGames Chat' feature, although there are no details on exactly how that'll work yet.

The pre-teen trio of titles is scheduled for release later in the year, at around the same time as Ubisoft's Imagine games. Get your ringside seats in early for the inevitable cat fight.
