Square Enix’s pet shop management game My Pet Shop is gearing up for release and has launched a website specifically to cater for the game’s younger demographic.

Generally this DS game isn’t the sort of thing we’d expect from the RPG giant, but the new website does demonstrate a pretty significant community aspect to My Pet Shop that does tie in more closely with the Big Square’s style.

The site features loads of interactive fun for kids of all ages including free mini-games inspired by the My Pet Shop game, downloadable icons and wallpapers, and regular competitions too.

Visitors to the site also can upload their own pet inspired story, poem, picture or photo which could get displayed in the online gallery for all to see, and also giving them a chance of winning the fortnightly competition.

My Pet Shop’s due to ship out on February 27th exclusively for the DS, so if you’ve got a DS player in the house who’s getting ready to take over management of Green Town’s finest pet shop, head on over to www.mypetshopgame.com and check it out.

Spanner Spencer
Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
