Master of Illusion set to make magical appearance on DS
The Nintendo game that deceives its players
A release date has been confirmed in the US for intriguing Nintendo-published title, Master of Illusion. The game, which has you playing as a magician's assistant, comes complete with a deck of marked cards and is launching on the other side of the Atlantic on November 26th.
Master of Illusion comes with over 20 different performances, all explained in cartoon cut-scenes beforehand. These range from complex card tricks like guessing the card of a member of the audience, to bigger stunts such as turning a girl into an elephant. In between shows, there's a chance of some downtime by playing various solitaire tricks for your own entertainment.
In typical mystical magic style, the backs of the game's enclosed cards can apparently only be read by a magician 'in the know' and several of the game's tricks require you to find secret audio commands. In other words, if any game is going to have hidden hokery-pokery, it's this one.
Perhaps predictably, in usual 'reveal nothing' Magic Circle style, there's no news on whether this game is getting a release in the UK. We'll bring you news as soon as we've spotted the telltale puff of smoke, though
