Mindscape has announced the forthcoming release of House M.D. for Nintendo DS.

Based loosely on the TV series, the game puts you to work alongside the staff of Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital, including the misanthropic Medical Diagnostician, Dr. Gregory House.

It's never Lupus!

Players will adopt the role of a doctor in the diagnostic unit, charged with treating the various illnesses that afflict the patients assigned to them.

Diagnosis and treatment are simulated by a series of mini-games. Ranging from laboratory analysis to performing surgery, there are over 100 distinct puzzles on offer.

The other members of the team will chip in with suggestions - the likenesses of Lisa Cuddy, Eric Foreman, Robert Chase, Allison Cameron, Chris Taub and Remy 'Thirteen' Hadley are promised - and no doubt you'll find youselves on the end of an acerbic observation or three from House himself.

House M.D. is released on Nintendo DS on December 10th in the UK, for £19.99.
