It’s been over two and a half years since we were wowed by the stylish DS adventure-noir
Hotel Dusk: Room 215. Its sophisticated plot and fleshed out characters helped make it okay for grown-up non-gamers to be seen playing with their handhelds on the train.
Now, Japanese blog
Sinobi has uncovered a retail listing for a sequel.
Last Window: Mayonaka no Yakusoku (translated as
Midnight Promise) is said to be set in Los Angeles during the 1980s.
Could the plot be centred around the illicit hotel-based antics of a poodle-rock band? Probably not.
CING’s sequel will be out in Japan on January 14. Stay tuned for news of the inevitable English-language version.
