Ace Attorney creator Shu Takumi returns to DS with Ghost Trick Phantom Detective

The Ace Attorney series have proved to be some of the best loved DS games, so it's good to see their creator Shu Takumi is back with a similarly intelligent game.

Called Ghost Trick Phantom Detective, it's all set in the world of Sissel, a murder victim who's lost his memory and returned as a ghost to solve the mystery of his death. But he only has until dawn to find out the truth.

The way you interact with the world is by possessing and manipulating real-world items to solve various puzzles.

Who dunnit?

You'll have to move through these in the correct order to ensure that you can get the better of the assassin who killed you, as well as saving other characters in the story.

Multiple non-obvious routes are promised through the dozen or so levels, suggesting the game will have plenty of replay value.

You can get a taster of how it will work via the trailer.
