Just last week Famitsu delivered word Taito is making Gardening Mama, the - perhaps logical - next step in the house-wifely career of Cooking Mama.

Now, screenshots have emerged of the game (on Taito's website and picked up by GoNintendo).

As you'd expect, they show Mama has swapped baking buns with watering bulbs. The shots show how you grow flowers in the game - beginning with digging up the soil and planting your new bulb, then giving it water and - it appears - playing some sort of mini-game in which you blitz invading insects with bug killer.

Gardening Mama is due for release on DS in Japan this winter. Currently there isn't any news on a UK release, but the chances are we should get it here eventually. Click 'Track It!' and we'll let you know as soon as we've weeded out exactly when.
