Draglade brings 'grapping' to DS

Glades, grapping and rhythm fighting - you can't say it's not different

Product: Draglade | Developer: Dimps | Publisher: 505 Games | Genre: Action, Fighting, Music/ Rhythm
Back in December 505 Games announced it had a DS game in the works called Draglade - a fighting/rhythm hybrid of a game based around a deadly but tuneful weapon called a Glade. Apparently the mankind of the future enjoys nothing more getting in the ring and lobbing it at one another while making beautiful music at the same time. Music and danger - it sounds like being in the mosh pit at a Metallica gig.

Anyway, 505 has now confirmed the game will be released in March 2008. It's also revealed a few more details on the title, including its special attacks which are called 'Bullets' and sound a bit different to the usual lead variety.

These Bullets unlock new special moves and abilities and can be traded with over players over wi-fi. They're triggered using the touchscreen, while the top screen is used to display the battle arena and all of its action.

Meanwhile, the L button is used by players to create their own attacks called 'Beat Combos' which can be customisable throughout the game and inflict large amounts of damage on an opponent.

Finally, the game will incorporate several multiplayer modes, including one-on-one fights and cooperative quests.

You can check out how it's looking for yourself from the new screenshots above. Its release is expected in March.
