PR types are always coming up with new ways to market stuff to consumers. Not so long ago, Koch Media was giving pub-goers copies of World Championship Snooker on DS to go up against one another over a pint. And - for a more extreme example - some might remember good old Acclaim and some of its advertising stunts back in the day, which consisted of sponsored gravestones and paying people to change their names by deed poll to Turok.

Publisher 505 Games's methods aren't quite as controversial as that - probably unsurprisingly seeing as it's promoting a cute game about cookery. Instead, 505 has opted to team up with sushi restaurant chain YO! Sushi and is putting DS consoles pre-loaded with the Cooking Mama 2 game on conveyor belts alongside the food for customers to pick up and play (and hopefully not try to eat. Or steal).

The promotion will kick off in London on April 14th at the chain's Farringdon Road and Poland Street restaurants, and will be rolled out across more of its 30 UK restaurants over the few months following. 505 will also be offering customers the opportunity to win a DS and copies of the game as part of the same promotion.

So there you have it - the chance to stuff your face and demo a game at the same time. Frankly we can't think of anything better.
