It's been rumoured for a while that a new
Castlevania game is in for making for DS.
Portrait of Ruin and
Dawn of Sorrow producer Koji Igarashi has hinted at it and mystery screenshots of an unidentified game featuring familiar looking ghouls and goths appeared last month across the internet. We don't claim to be able to give Poirot a run for his money, but it seemed pretty conclusive evidence to us.

Famitsu (sneakily posted on
dsfanboy) have confirmed the speculation ,as well as given a couple of details on the forthcoming new game. Namely its title - which is
Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia - and also that it will support two players. Although it's unknown whether that'll be via local play or the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.
And that's about it. The magazine has a handful of screenshots but little more information. We don't know how far through development the game is, or what sort of whip-cracking action we can expect. We just know that it is definitely coming out though and that it has a name - which is a start at least, but we expect be able to bring you more information soon, while, of course, hoping that the game will live up to the reputation of the previous two DS games.
