Nintendo has announced during today's bi-monthly Nintendo Direct broadcast that a 3DS version of its popular DS series Brain Training is on the way.

The beaming Dr Kawashima is working with Nintendo on the game, which he hopes will improve your memory and concentration skills.

No other details were given, although a devilish version of Kawashima's iconic floating head was revealed.

It's-a-me (again)

Nintendo also announced that the upcoming Mario Tennis title for 3DS would be named Mario Tennis Open and will launch on May 25th in Europe.

The game is being developed by Camelot of Golden Sun fame, and will feature local and online multiplayer as well as optional gyro controls.

Nintendo also announced it plans to oversee distribution duties for Sega's Parisian adventure Rhythm Thief & the Emperor's Treasure, which will arrive on the 3DS on April 5th.

I bring you fire

The Japanese gaming giant also confirmed that both strategy title Fire Emblem and augmented reality horror Spirit Camera: The Cursed Memoir would be coming to Europe later this year.

Nintendo said it plans to support Fire Emblem with additional maps further down the line.

Keeping DS fans happy, the next instalment of football anime series Inazuma Eleven will be released on March 16th in both Firestorm and Blizzard flavours.

New Virtual Console releases will include Game Boy classics Dr Mario and Punch-Out!!

Following their appearance on the ESRB ratings earlier this month, Game Gear titles Sonic the Hedgehog: Triple Trouble, Shinobi, and Dragon Crystal will be making their way to the eShop in mid-March.

Now steel yourselves, here's the full European release schedule:
