Several new titles for DS were unveiled in Los Angeles as part of Nintendo's annual E3 media briefing.

Guitar Hero: On Tour Decades, Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Alma, Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, and a new Touch! Generations title fill in the 2008 release calendar.

Reggie Fils-Aime, head of Nintendo's Americas division, proclaims that worldwide sales of DS will eclipse 100 million by the end of the year. The company's new line up of titles are intended to push those sales, Fils-Aime stated.

New iterations of the Pokémon franchise and recently released Guitar Hero: On Tour aren't much of a surprise, but the revelation that Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto is coming to DS is nothing less than surprising.

Equally as interesting is the company's expansion of the Touch! Generations series of games with Cooking Guide: Can't Decide What to Eat?

Clearly, these titles show a dramatic departure from traditional gaming. "Common sense doesn't make much sense anymore with regards to video games," stated Nintendo president Satoru Iwata. All three titles are slated for release this holiday season.
