Nintendo has updated the release schedule on its Japanese site and inserted a couple of new games that have cheered up our Wednesday morning. Translation is courtesy of Go Nintendo (so we can blame them if they've cocked it up).

Firstly, Rhythm Tengoku Gold is listed as coming to DS on July 31st. The original Rhythm Tengoku was the last game Nintendo released for the GBA, and what a game it was - like WarioWare with beats and funny rabbits jumping about in time to a lady singing. It was never released outside of Japan, though, which was a travesty, so we're not sure if this new DS game will suffer the same fate.

Fire Emblem DS is also on the release schedule, and down for an August 7th release. Then there's platform game Densetsu no Starfi down for July 10th and soccer RPG Inazuma Eleven (from Professor Layton makers Level 5) on August 22nd. Both of which probably won't see the light of day outside of Japan.

We've got our fingers crossed Rhythm Tengoku and Fire Emblem could get translated for European release at some point in the future though. Watch this space, as they say.
