There's every chance you've never heard of DJ Max. That's because unless you're the type who buys their games from an importer instead of your local branch of Game, you won't have got to play it seeing as it's a game born and bred in Korea.

According to IGN though, this could be about to change. Well, it is about to change in the US, where a version of the game called DJ Max Fever has been confirmed for release on November 11th. As for the rest of the world, we'll have to wait and see if its publisher PM Studios decide to bring it to us too.

The basic gamplay of DJ Max involves picking songs and then tapping the buttons corresponding to icons scrolling across the screen to play them. So, pretty much like every other rhythm game out there. This one though mixes things up with scratching and techno beats. Oh, and scantily clad female DJs.

It also features a unique anime style and tons of songs. The previous games released in Korea had a generous amount but - as DJ Max Fever will be a mix of both DJ Max Portable and DJ Max Portable 2 - this one will have over one hundred of them.

There will also be a Freestyle mode and goal-based contests called Extreme Challenges. A Network Battle mode will feature too, so you'll be able to DJ head-to-head against a friend.

Aspiring DJs click 'Track It!' and we'll keep you up-to-date on DJ Max Fever. You'll be among the first to find out if it gets a Euro release too.
