App Store Puzzler Cut the Rope gets anti-gravity update

With over three million App Store downloads and counting, twine-tearing puzzler Cut the Rope looks to be another sales success for publishing powerhouse Chillingo.

Instead of sitting back and letting the money roll in, though, developer ZeptoLab has been working on its first update for the game.

The 1.1 update, promised around a week ago, includes an all new 25-level Cosmic Box, with a gravity-altering, mind-muddling theme. Further improvements include tweaking of the game's Retina display graphics, scoring accuracy, sound effects and animation, and the inclusion of 11 new achievements.

Developer ZeptoLab has even promised a further update before "the holidays", although exactly what that expansion includes is unconfirmed.

Cut the Rope is available in the App Store priced at 59p / 99c for iPhone and £1.19 / $1.99 for iPad.
