Chillingo's just announced that Cut the Rope - which is developed by Russian outfit ZeptoLab - has now sold three million copies on Apple devices.

More important for those three million players however is the release of the 1.1 update, which is expected to go live soon.

Om Nom in space

Called the Cosmic Box, it brings 25 new levels into play, with the major new addition being the anti-gravity feature that turns physics upside down.

Other improvements include enhanced Retina graphics, improved scoring accuracy, more expressive Om Nom animations, more sounds, plus 11 new achievements.

"We thank all of the amazing fans who have shared the joyful fun Cut the Rope offers with friends and family to make it a phenomenal success," said Efim Voinov, ZeptoLab's CTO.

"The 1.1 update is just the beginning; we hope to release an additional update just in time for the holidays and bring even more action-packed, Om Nom excitement to your fingertips."
