A batch of new images for this potentially addictive puzzle game reminded us we haven't told you anything about it yet – sincere apologies (we'd cut a finger tip off as penance but we find them really useful for typing).

Cube adopts the 'levels-suspended-in-mid-air' approach to puzzling, which obviously suits the premise of negotiating 3D levels (of which 135 are promised, spanning nine themed zones) as quickly as possible.

Obviously if it was simply a case of rushing towards the goal, things would get as repetitive as Martina Navratilova's newly unveiled tennis ball-based painting exhibition. Which is why you can expect to have to collect a number of objects while tackling a series of obstacles on your way to success. Some 13 types of hazard feature, from bombs and barriers to spikes and switches.

Additional elements include nine unlockable bonus levels and ad hoc support to engage in battle or co-op play across 30-odd levels. Related to this is a gameshare feature, which is further enhanced by the ability to create your own levels, which you can then test with your PSP-owning chums.

Getting a firm release date for Cube is proving as difficult as resolving the Iraq conflict, but as far as we can tell it we might expect it to appear in European shops this April. If you keep an eye on our weekly release updates (by clicking 'Track It!' after the link so as to be automatically alerted to them) it's bound to turn up at some point.
