No, not the latest up-from-the-streets girl rapping duo, Cookie and Cream are in fact two colourful Japanese rabbits out for some good, old-fashioned co-operative mini-game pleasure on the DS.

Plenty of wi-fi fun is promised, with you and a friend making your ways through a mysterious trap-filled island to find a magical lunar object in time for the Moon Festival. (Huh? That's just another Friday night for me – Ed).

One player will control Cookie using traditional button controls as, on the top DS screen, he wanders around the island. Using touchscreen controls and microphone, the other player will have to aid him by disarming traps and dealing with enemies and a host of other obstacles in the guise of Cream.

Alternatively, us Billy-No-Mates will just have to make our own way solo, controlling both characters in turn to push to the end of the story-based game.

Nine four-player mini-games will complete the package, adding what we're sure the marketeers would call double Cookie and Cream goodness.

Already released in the US, Cookie & Cream is due to make its way over the Atlantic in time for a September launch in Europe.
