Clan Castle - Clash of Clans building breakdown
You begin CoC with your Clan Castle in ruins. Rebuilding it should be high on your priority list, because it's what enables you to join or form a Clan and request troops from fellow members to help defend your village when you're offline.
Donated troops live in the Clan Castle, ready for action whenever an enemy steps inside the unit's substantial 12-tile radius. (Note that you can also deploy those troops when raiding enemy villages, giving you additional forces with which to flatten the opposition.)
