One touch iPhone running games such as Canabalt and Run! have been successful on the App Store, so why not a running action game with combat elements?

At least, that's the thinking behind Canadian studio Gamerizon's Chop Chop Runner.

As with those other running games, your character runs and jumps through the environment, getting faster and faster.

Making things tougher, and more spectacular are the various enemies you have to dispatch with another tap on your screen.

There are also 12 achievements to unlock via OpenFeint, and two leaderboards for best distance run and highest number of kills.

You can play a web version of the games (install of Unity required) here, or look at the action via this video.
