Mandelform's line-drawing egg puzzler Chicken Frenzy rolls out for iPhone
Cracking, but you shouldn't
It's not too surprising that Chicken Frenzy knocked Angry Birds and Cut the Rope off the #1 spot on the Swedish App Store last week.
The reason isn't that Swedes particularly like chickens though. Instead, developer Mandelform Studios is based in Malmo, and clearly has been making the most of its local connections to give its game a boost.
Still, as a rope-based puzzler, the game should appeal to roughly the same audience worldwide.
Staple sourceThe basic set up is you have to draw ropes to safely get the eggs dropping down the screen to roll into baskets without smashing.
Other game elements include squashing flies, stopping your eggs being eaten by green frogs (that look a bit like Om Nom), as well as directing the correct colour of eggs into the right baskets etc etc. In total, there are 60 levels to play through.
Chicken Frenzy is out now for iPhone, priced 99c, €0.79, or 69p (also 7 Swedish kronor).
You can see how it plays in the following video.
