Original role-playing game Chaos Rings is now available for iPhone and iPod touch.
Developed by Japanese outfit Media.Vision, the game pits you in a battle for eternal life and youth. As part of a two-person team, you compete against your will at the behest of a mysterious person known only as the Agent.
A unique character customisation system has you equipping genes nabbed from defeated creatures. Special abilities can be swapped out as you level up and confront new beasts.
Publisher Square Enix is aiming for high quality gameplay and graphics, but is charging a high price for such a luxury. At £7.49/$12.99, Chaos Rings is among the most expensive games for iPhone and iPod touch.
While a final verdict will have to wait until our review, the detail visuals and in-depth gameplay look as though they justify a higher price.
