Hopefully it'll stand out more than the lizards do

Publisher UFO Interactive Games today announced it's bringing a brand new puzzle game to PSP. Called Chameleon, the game looks like fairly typical puzzler stuff – involving matching like-coloured hexagonal tiles – but it does promise a few extra features to stand it out from the crowds.

First, the game offers four playable characters, each of with different abilities so, presumably, a different gameplay experience as a result, too. There are also at least two distinct play modes planned, one of which, Goal Mode, has you trying to be first to a flag, while another knows as King Mode sees you attempting to overtake an enemy.

Other than that, we know wireless multiplayer supporting game sharing will also feature.

Oh, almost forgot to mention a rather crucial element in that it's essentially never-ending because the puzzles are randomly generated. Which also means you're unlikely to ever play the same level twice.

Admittedly it's not much information to go on and there's also the small issue that the game's stated 'Q2' release date (typically meaning autumn) only seems to apply to the US at present. Still, PSP game announcements have been a bit thin on the ground so far this week so we'll take all the new games we can get.
