Samsung Cetus Windows Phone 7 handset gets FCC approval
|

So did you catch the Microsoft announcement earlier? Windows Phone 7 is looking to be one serious contender on the mobile games front.

You’ll be wanting something to play all those lovely Xbox Live games on now. Something like Samsung’s Galaxy S or Wave S8500 handsets – both of which eat 3D games for dinner – would be great.

As revealed back in February, the Samsung Cetus looks like it’ll be just that – a Galaxy S/Wave-level device running the Windows Phone 7 OS. It’ll boast a 4-inch screen (hopefully of the Super AMOLED variety) and a 5-megapixel camera.

Samsung Hub has just reported that the device has acquired FCC (Federal Communications) approval, which is a vital step towards any phone’s release in the US.

Hopefully we’ll see it around the time of the Windows Phone 7 launch, which is expected to be some time in October or November.
