Targeting the emerging online iPhone gaming world, and the wider opportunities of iPad, Freeverse has revealed its first MMOG, CastleCraft.

Developed by new studio Infinite Lives, it's more of a hardcore, combative experience than ngmoco's We Rule, with the game tasking you with building up your city base while making alliances with your friends or trying to conquer your enemies.

Power of the throne

Sixteen military units as well as 16 resource and technology units will be available for you level up as you play through three quest lines.

As you'd expect, you'll need to use resource buildings to increase your production of basic elements such as gold, lumber and food, as these fuel your growth.

There's also the matter of the Dragon Crystals which will fall out of the sky as meteors. You collect these to make magical buildings and power special units.
Together with online functionality and real time chat, you'll also be able to buy additional crystals via in-app purchases, using the Plus+ social gaming network.

You can find out more information via the game forums. CastleCraft is due out over the weekend.
