Terraforming blaster Caster: Episode 2 coming to iPhone

The second episode of Elecorn's 3D terraforming shooter Caster (screens from the original shown) is coming soon to iPhone.

Recently released for PC, the sequel will be heading for iPhone soon according to Mike Smith, the one-man operation behind it all.

The original game saw an iPhone release a few months after the initial PC outing, suggesting that it shouldn't take too long for this episode to hit the App Store.

The Caster series follows the story of Ethan, a young spell-caster battling against The Flanx, an insectoid army hell-bent on destruction of Ethan's world.

With access to a whole horde of projectile weaponry, from simple lasers to bombs which completely change the shape of the land, Ethan must send The Flanx packing.

The new episode, called The Lydonia Chronicles, features seven new missions, a new playable character, and extra weapons to blast the enemy with, along with a level editor and community tools.

While this second episode is free to download for PC gamers who purchased the original game, it's not clear yet whether the same offer will be available to iPhone users.
