More intense, more involving, more players

E3 2008: First Call of Duty: World at War DS screens and details

We rather liked Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare on the DS, which is why its follow-up, World at War is worthy of attention.

To keep our interest ticking like a timer connected to an unfeasibly large pack of C4, the first two images of the game have been released, along with some details.

There's the promise of an improved combat system over last year's title, along with an increased dependency on touchscreen-based actions which aim to increase player involvement in the events of the game.

The biggie though is that there's also online support this time. And proper online play, not 'upload your score so the world can laugh at it' shenanigans.

That's it for now, but we'll return the moment we have more on CoD: World at War.
