Glu to take Call of Duty: World at War mobile

Extending its relationship with Activision

Glu to take Call of Duty: World at War mobile

Glu Mobile has announced that it's going to release a mobile game based on Call of Duty: World at War, Activision's upcoming console title.

It's an extension of the two companies' worldwide licensing partnership that will see Glu both developing and publishing the mobile version, presumably to come out this autumn alongside the console release.

There are no details on the game itself yet, although it'll be interesting to see if Glu develops dual 2D and 3D versions, or just goes with the 2D format that's been used for previous Call of Duty mobile games.

There's also the potential to release World at War for advanced mobile platforms, such as N-Gage and iPhone, although nothing's been announced on that score either for the game.

We do know that flamethrowers play a role in the console game though, so they better make it into the mobile version. Flamethrowers rule.
