Just about put a bullet in our expectations

GC '09: First details on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Mobilised

A flash grenade couldn't have stunned us more than the trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Mobilised that dropped at the start of GamesCom, but these first screenshots come in a close second.

Modern Warfare: Mobilised obviously builds on the first-person touch controls seen in last year's Call of Duty: World at War, but this time you're fighting for freedom's cause in the modern era.

The screens show off notable moments in the game's single player campaign from manning an AC-130 to assaulting a terrorist base in an unnamed Middle Eastern city.

Along with the campaign, Modern Warfare: Mobilised will ship with a new Survival mode that pits you against waves of enemies.

What isn't displayed, however, is multiplayer which will support up to six players via Nintendo WiFi Connection. Local wireless multiplayer is also expected.

With the game shaping up this nicely, we can't wait to mobilise November 10.
