You might think that the life of a crash test dummy is a tough one, with their sole reason for existence being to be tortured, exploded, set on fire and launched through windscreens. It’s a good job they’re not sentient, really.

Meet CID, who just happens to be a sentient dummy and the star of Oxygen Games’ latest action platformer on PSP. Rather than being a flimsy victim of abuse, though, CID (Crash Impact Dummy) is effectively a high-tech, nigh-on indestructible product tester. If anything, he’s a little bored of his day job.

Good thing he’s been sent on an action-packed mission to rescue a damsel in distress, then.

As CID makes his way through each vibrant level he’ll be called upon to utilise a variety of fighting styles, from unarmed combat to weapons like a bazooka that can freeze, hit and burn.

Being in control of a crash test dummy, though, the key focus to CID The Dummy is environmental interaction. CID’s capable of climbing walls, swinging on ropes, burning obstacles, destroying exploding barrels, using lifters, bouncing on springs and crashing through walls with his almighty head butt.

Check out the game’s website for a playable demo.

We’ve teamed up with Oxygen Games to offer one reader a PSP and a copy of the game. Two runners up will receive a copy of the game each. All you need to do to be in with a chance is answer this question:

What was the name of the worldwide hit single released by the Canadian band Crash Test Dummies in 1994?

While our younger readers head over to Wikipedia, and the over-30s gasp at the easiness of the question (before sneakily checking Wikipedia for the exact spelling), keep in mind that you need to send your answers to [email protected] by April 24th.
