Bungie celebrates Halo anniversary with free iPhone app

Bungie may be celebrating its 20th anniversary, but the rest of us are celebrating the fact that the Halo series creator is no longer tied down to Microsoft. Otherwise there would presumably be no free Bungie Mobile app.

It's a companion app rather than a game, letting you browse through player information from the home console games and receive news directly from the developers themselves.

You can also download blue flames for your Halo: Reach helmet - something that was previously only an option if you worked for Bungie yourself. Swish.
