We’ll leave the question of whether the world needs another ‘classic coloured bubble-based puzzle game with a twist’ to one side.

At least, on the bright side, with only 22 other games currently available on the PlayStation Store for PSP Minis developer Creat Studio doesn’t have to deal with the sort of competition seen on the App Store for its just released Bubble Trubble.

The gameplay works like this: you have to get the slowly downwards floating bubbles to settle on the same coloured bubbles below, whereupon they fuse together to create even larger bubbles.

Get them to pop and you can start to perform combos. Fill the screen and it’s Game Over.

As well as the endless Survival mode, Bubble Trubble comes with a Challenge mode that has you overcoming specific tasks such as only popping certain coloured bubbles or preventing bubbles from getting too big.

Bubble Trubble is available now for download from the US and European PlayStation Stores, priced £3.99, or local equivalent.
