RealNetworks' game division GameHouse seems to have a thing for round objects.

A couple of months ago, it released Marble Mixer in which you and up to three friends, or artificial intelligence opponents, fought it out, flicking marbles to score points.

There's a similar thing going on in Bubble Bunch for iPad. It's another multiplayer focused title, only this time the concept is based around Bubble Bobble's match-three gameplay.

Power of the match

There are three modes. In Aquarium, you're playing in an underwater world to see who can create the most groups of three or more like-coloured bubbles.

In Rogue Drone, the sci-fi setting sees a villainous droid firing back at you, while Domination's winner will be the player who can exert colour supremacy across the globe.

In each mode, your options include using explosive power-ups or bouncing shots off the wall for strategic placement.

Currently available for iPad, but coming to iPhone in three weeks, Bubble Bunch for iPad costs $1.99, €1.59 or £1.19.
