Well at least there’s been one British sporting success story this year, with Jenson Button rising from the brink of motor-sporting oblivion to lead this year’s F1 championship.

Of course, a major part of his success has been down to the car he’s driving. The Brawn team has beaten the likes of Ferrari and McLaren at their own game in creating a monster of a car for both Button and the amiable Rubens Barrichello to do their thing in.

Now iPhone gamers can take the car for a spin themselves with the release of Brawn GP Racing on the App Store. There’s just the one track to race around at present, but three more have been promised as the F1 season progresses.

According to the blurb, you’re able to “scream by Big Ben and Buckingham Palace while doing a qualifying lap around Hyde Park.” Perhaps Fishlabs knows something about the location of next year’s British Grand Prix that we don’t.

Either way, Fishlabs knows its way around a 3D racing game, so we're hoping for a Jenson-like smooth driving experience.

Brawn GP Racing is out now on the App Store priced $3.99, €2.99 and £2.39.
