SouthPeak Games has announced Brave: Shaman's Challenge, a puzzle game promising a deep yet fast-paced strategic mechanic that's also wrapped up in an unusually intricate storyline.

How so? Well, we're not entirely sure at the moment. What we know of the storyline - that you play a boy named Brave who goes off on a quest to protect everything he holds dear and who meets a cast of differing characters along his journey - doesn't exactly floor us with excitement.

That said, the revelation that you must master Shamanic Arts and learn new powers while exploring the dangerous gameworld does bring Puzzle Quest to mind. And we liked that a lot.

We'll know more soon enough as Brave: Shaman's Challenge is due in August.
