Brain Challenge 2 heads for mobile

Gameloft's second dose of stress management

Brain Challenge 2 heads for mobile

Another day, another brain training mobile game. Thankfully, Gameloft's original Brain Challenge was great, so we're looking forward to the sequel, the suitably named Brain Challenge 2: Stress Management.

The game includes 20 new exercises spread across five categories: memory, visual, logic, maths and focus. The 'stress management' part apparently comes in by training your concentration even under stressful conditions.

Here's the science bit. The game promises a Free Training mode to practise on, and an adaptive difficulty structure based on your brain activity profile, with a detailed scoring and ranking system to tell you just how smart (or thick) you are.

The sequel's been given a visual overhaul, too, with 3D aspects thrown into the mix. It's a shame there's no mention of connected elements, since brain trainers are natural candidates for online high-score tables and community features.

Even so, Brain Challenge 2 should be a treat for wannabe mobile boffins.
