September has already gone. If, like us, you're not entirely sure how that happened, hopefully you can take some solace in this list of the very best mobile digital board games that came out last month.

It was certainly an interesting month, and one that was very much dominated by a couple of Games Workshop games stomping around like they own the place. There's a couple of other titles though that we think are worthy of your attention too.

If you've got your own suggestions as to what should have made the list, feel free to stick them in the comments section at the bottom of the article.

And if you want to keep up to date with all the comings and goings in the world of digital board games, make sure you bookmark our TableTap section. That way you're never going to miss a thing.

Stockpile

There's no getting around the fact that Stockpile is a pretty hefty experience. Even after the tutorial, unless you're an actual stock broker, there's a good chance you're still not going to be quite sure what you're supposed to be doing.

This is a game for the more dedicated board gamer, someone who wants the undiluted thrill of strategy and manipulation in a pocket-sized package. And it does everything it sets out to do really well.

You can click here to read our review of Stockpile. It's definitely worth checking out, but it's never going to take any prisoners. You have been warned.

Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realm War

nocookie.com/embed/d7rXG4u_4Kw?rel=0&showinfo=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen=""> There are cards here, and anyone familiar with the setting is going to get a bit giddy when they see their miniature heroes brought to shiny digital life, but the game is closer to a MOBA than a true tabletop experience.

But, since it's a big chunky Games Workshop game, and seeing the characters in motion is a bit like seeing your miniatures come to life, we'd be remiss if we didn't include it. Plus it's actually quite a lot of fun.

Click here and you'll be able to read our full Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realm War review. It got a Bronze Award, so you know it's pretty good.

Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Champions

This one's a far more traditional mobile board game. It's a deck-builder, but there's more here going on than another Hearthstone clone.

Positioning is key, and there's an interesting mechanic that sees you twisting your cards around to use them in different ways.

It's really smart, looks great, and you can scan in cards you buy in the real world. Click here to check out our full review of the game, which we gave a Gold Award.
