VEmpire - The Kings of Darkness is an interesting one. It's a deck-building card game with a lot going for it, but it takes a good long while before you actually get to grips with everything the game is throwing at you.

Right now though, it's on sale on the App Store. Rather than £6.99 / $6.99, you can pick it up for the much more reasonable £3.99 / $3.99. And I reckon if you're a fan of cards and horror, then it's probably worth that.

When we reviewed the game last year we said “if you stick with Vempire you're probably going to fall in love with it. If you don't, well to be quite frank, no one could blame you,” and gave it six out of ten. That's a Pocket Gamer six out of ten though, so it means the game is above average.

If you fancy taking a punt, you can grab the game by clicking on this link right here. It's not perfect, but it's worth a look all the same.
