If you're not paying attention to digital board gaming, then you're missing out on some really interesting ideas. Ideas like Tabletopia, which has just come out for iPad.

Essentially, it's an app that lets you play board games on your tablet. But it's so much more than that. There's no AI or computer interference - you're getting the full table top experience, just on a touchscreen device.

If that wasn't enough, you can also create and playtest your own board games on the app. If that doesn't get your creative juices flowing, then I don't know what will.

Right now there are six games on the service for iOS. But the Steam and browser versions already have hundreds of games from a whole bunch of publishers, so there's likely to be a lot more on the way.

So it's a repository of board games that gives you the chance to build and playtest your own, and you can carry it about with you in a big without destroying your spine? I can't understand why you're not excited.

You can read more about Tabletopia at its website by clicking right here. And if you'd like to download the app from the App Store, you can do that by clicking this link.
