Age of Rivals is a new digital board game that's just landed on the App Store. It's been out on Steam for a while, where it's garnered some pretty positive reviews.

It describes itself as an anti deck-building CCG. So where in Magic controlling your cards is of the utmost importance, here there's a randomness to proceedings that means each time you play you're facing different challenges with different tools.

Games only last around ten minutes, so it's a lovely size for mobile play. You're trying to outwit your opponent in a variety of areas. Strengthen up your culture, military, and economy and come out on top when the game comes to an end.

There are hundreds of different cards, and plenty of different modes as well. You can play with other people, take on single player challenge missions, or take part in monthly tournaments.

And the game will only set you back 99p / 99c. There are no IAP either, you'll just unlock new content as you play. Keep your eyes on Pocket Gamer for a review in the coming days too.
