The best mobile board games of 2017: Part 3

Don't get board
Product: Age of Rivals | Format: Android, iPhone, iPad, Board Game
Well hello there, and welcome to the third and final part of our round up of the best games that came out on mobile this year. It's been a grand old year, and no mistake, whether you like adaptations or digital exclusives.

As I've said before, all of the games on this list are great. They're not in any order, because ordering things is for nerds. You should definitely buy them all, because they're all ace and I want the developers to make more stuff. Do it.

A card game that plays in quick bursts. There's combat, building, and plenty of other things to do. And it's all a lot of fun. Plus it's not going to suck away the vast part of your life. So you can still go out and play in the park too.

At review we said "there's a deep and engaging experience here. You'll get roll your sleeves up and get stuck in, and while it doesn't have the staying power of heftier experiences, it's definitely worth picking up."

Warhammer Quest 2 - buy on iOS

Another chance to jump into the dungeons of the Warhammer world. There's a lot of things to kill, a lot of loot to find, and there's a surprising amount of depth here. Build your team, fight monsters, have a blast.

When we reviewed this one we called it "a hard, fraught stomp through some very dark corners. Warhammer Quest 2 is pretty much a must buy." Then we gave it a Gold Award.

If you're not a super fan of reading, this is a great way to get into the world of Fighting Fantasy without having to do too much page-turning. It turns the adventures into a more action packed board game, and it's a right barrel of fun.

We called this one "a tough but ultimately rewarding board game reworking of some classic gamebooks" at review. And gave it a Silver Award.

Eminence: Xander's Tale

A super good looking card game that sees you laying cards down on a three by three grid. You're building up your deck of warriors, and you can take the battle online as well. You will too, because the multiplayer here is great.

At review we described it as "a clever and engaging card game that won't take up too much of your time," and stuck a Silver Award on it.
